Gosnells Archers is one of the oldest active archery clubs in the metropolitan area of Western Australia. We have members from many of the south-eastern suburbs of Perth from Armadale to Thornlie and always welcome visitors from other clubs - local, interstate and international.
The club caters for different types of bows including compound, longbows and recurve, and encourages anybody over the age of 10 to come along to our club grounds to experience this ancient sport.
Our Mission is to provide a safe and caring environment, meet the needs of the group as a whole and seek to make a positive difference in the lives of all our members. By doing so they will achieve their highest potential, irrespective of skill level or age and become confident individuals, whilst becoming competent in the sport of Archery.
In September 2016 our club was the subject of an arson attack in which we lost our club house and a great deal of our equipment. Evan so we carried on without a hitch using two large sea containers, some borrowed tables and chairs and other various donations of equipment. With the help of our members, and the City Of Gosnells council, the club has now risen up from the ashes and within six months is once again running, in a much larger and better club house.
Whilst the club has access to the field most days the official organised club shoots are on a Saturday. We shoot a morning session 9.00 to noon and an afternoon session 1.00 to 5.00.
